Privacy Policy

ChannelCue helps you organize and search recent uploads from YouTube channels you already subscribe to. This policy explains what information the app uses and how it is handled.

Information We Collect

When you sign in, ChannelCue may receive your app account identifier from Clerk. When you connect YouTube, ChannelCue requests read-only access to your YouTube account so it can load your subscribed channels and recent uploads.

ChannelCue stores your saved Google OAuth configuration, trial status, indexed channel metadata, and indexed video metadata so the app can search your subscriptions without repeatedly using expensive YouTube search requests.

Google User Data

ChannelCue uses YouTube API Services to provide the app features you request. After you connect your Google account, ChannelCue uses Google user data only to load your YouTube subscriptions, fetch channel metadata and uploads playlist IDs, retrieve recent uploads from subscribed channels, and build a private searchable index for your account.

ChannelCue does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or transfer it to third parties except as needed to provide and operate the service.

Google's handling of information is described in the Google Privacy Policy. YouTube API Services are governed by the YouTube API Services Terms of Service.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

ChannelCue and its service providers may store, access, or recognize information on your device or browser using cookies, local storage, session storage, and similar technologies. These technologies support authentication, security, account sessions, saved settings, configuration status, app functionality, hosting, and payment workflows.

ChannelCue uses service providers including Clerk for authentication, Convex for app data storage, Vercel for hosting, and the linked payment provider for subscription payments.

How We Store Data

Production app data is stored in Convex. Local development data may be stored in local JSON files. OAuth access tokens are used to communicate with Google APIs during your session.

Data Deletion

You can disconnect YouTube from inside ChannelCue. To request deletion of saved app data, email support@channelcue.com from the email address associated with your account.
